Even though May and April flip-flopped weather, we still got outside and enjoyed the spring. Miss PC continues to bring us daily joy and we have been enjoying seeing her personality really start to show. PC is also on the move. Since she can roll over both directions, we find her in a different place every time we turn around. That is our sign to start the baby proofing. This time around presents a new challenge. Many of IC's toys are very small (polly pocket shoes!) so we are going to have to get IC in the habit of keeping them contained or just downstairs. Life is definitely different with two kids! She giggles everyday, but she giggles most at IC. I usually have to resort to baby munching to get a laugh out of her where IC and hop around and make faces at her to get the giggles. Both girls have been sick this month. IC with croup, then a goobery nose and a cough. PC has had a cough she can't seem to kick fully. IC's activities have slowed down for the summer, replaced by trips to the park and camping! In April, NC and I were discussing taking the girls camping. First thought was tent camping, then we thought maybe getting a small pop-up so we starting looking at those. Then I saw campers with bathrooms and was sold on getting a hard sided camper. It really is like a hotel room on wheels! We trekked to Wisconsin to see one of NC's buddies get married and on the way we stopped and bought a camper. Last weekend, we went to pick it up and spent Memorial weekend getting it ready and doing a "dry run" adventure to the local campground. It was good too, we made a couple of trips home to get things we didn't know we'd need and things we forgot. We are hoping to get out of town quite a bit and join the world of RV'ing!
Here is our month:
I have become one of those moms! Matching outfits are too cute to pass on though!
PC
I love finding IC's random drawings. She can write her name now too, just needs a little help with the Z's in the middle.
NC with the groom and another buddy. I think they have had quite a few good times together!
Picking up the camper! The front flips out into our bed and the back has 2 bunk beds for the little ladies. I forgot to take pictures from our first camp :(
IC at the GFAFB airshow. By the end she was telling Daddy "these jets are driving me crazy!"
An old college friend and co-worker flew into GFK for a weekend visit of geeking out. They went to the airshow and then on Sunday, we went to see the decommissioned missile silo (Oscar-Zero with Oscar the Grouch as the mascot) in rural ND. Strange to think ND has so many nuclear weapons here.
GH celebrated her birthday this month! We enjoyed a fun pool party, but I think the highlight was SS bringing a baby duck to town with her.
